Envisioned Future (10-30 years) Within South Africa, organisations will embrace, value, and utilise project management and attribute their success to it.
PMI SA Chapter and PMSA In 2007 PMI SA Chapter and Project Management South Africa (PMSA) realized that the agreement made in 2002 needed to be amended. There were changes happening at PMI regarding their strategy and the Chapters.
PMI SA Chapter and PMSA commenced discussions in earnest after the Leadership meeting in Atlanta. PMI presented their strategy to all the Chapters and this is where it was realized that PMI SA Chapter would need to become more active. A new joint venture agreement was drawn up where in essence PMI SA Chapter and PMSA would run as separate organizations both complimenting each other in the delivery of value to the project management community at large. PMI SA Chapter would specifically look after the PMI Members, Chapter members, all certification credential holders as well as the PMI registered education providers. In cases where PMI SA Chapter and PMSA would work together on initiatives, these would be agreed in an amendment of the joint venture.
The joint venture allows the PMI SA Chapter and PMSA members to attend each other's member meetings as members as well as the PMI SA Chapter would leverage off the PMSA branch network for membership meetings outside of Gauteng, however PMI SA Chapter may schedule meetings where there is interest for additional membership requirements.
