Michele Sanua

Michele (Nathan) Sanua is member of PMI since December 2014 and a member of PMI SA since 2015.

Michele is a certified PMP since 2014 and is PMI SA volunteer since March 2015.

Michele’s role as a volunteer is to assist Carla in managing admin e-mails; reply to queries, etc.

Michele has 20+ years project management experience in consulting and deployment of various sized projects in the IT field.  Experienced Consultant with 17+ years’ experience in end-user training in the corporate and private sector in PC related training including OS / MS apps & IT Theory in computing. Publisher of own training manual (Windows and Office applications), which was recognised by the Department of Manpower in 1995. This personally written training material provided a written guideline to the courses / training offered. Background in IT: completed various professional courses including OS, various application software, hardware support and accreditations; SETA accredited Assessor & Moderator. Cambridge International Examinations accredited Moderator.

Peter Raw, VP Membership

Vice President – Membership: Peter Raw

Peter Raw was born in Durban, and completed his BSc Civil Engineering at the University of Natal in 1993.  Since then he has managed a wide variety of civil engineering and construction projects throughout Southern Africa. As a director at WBHO Roads and Earthworks looking after a section of their International work, this means he spends most of his time on an airplane into some weird African country chasing big construction projects.

Peter was registered as a PrEng in 2001 and PMP in 2005. He is certified under SACPCMP as a PrCM and is also a member of PMSA. Many years ago Peter volunteered at the annual AGM for a volunteer role in the PMI South Africa Chapter and has not looked back since then, looking after various roles over his period of volunteering.

He is married and has two boys and a step-daughter to keep him out of mischief when he is not doing sport or travelling.

Lynn Keeys, Chapter President

Dr. Lynn A. Keeys is the President and CEO of the PMI South Africa Chapter since November 2016.  She has been a member of PMI since 2005 and an active member of the South Africa Chapter since 2009, volunteering in various capacities.  Lynn, a certified project management professional, has significant experience in program and project strategy, including leading project development and design teams, establishing and leading project, program and portfolio management offices and program and project performance management. Having worked in the international development field, she has important expertise in international and intercultural settings and socio-economic change projects. Her work has been published as well as presented at international project management and management conferences.

Karen Taylor-Vermaak, VP Marketing & Communications

Karen Taylor-Vermaak is a brand builder and strategist. She assumed the position of VP Marketing in August 2016, having been a member and volunteer of PMI and PMI South Africa Chapter from October 2014.   Karen is a qualified attorney, a certified Project Management Professional, and holds an Honors Degree in Strategic Brand Communications.
